Thistle Gate Vineyard is located on W. River Road in historic Fluvanna County, bounded on two sides by the Hardware River. The Cushnie family-owned and tended vineyard, which was planted in 2007, is ideally located on a sunny, western slope. The extended growing season in Virginia's piedmont enables Thistle Gate Vineyard to produce exceptionally well ripened fruit and low crop yields are maintained to maximize the flavors.
